On July 22nd, 49-year old John Przychodzen was riding his bike home from work along the northbound shoulder of Juanita Drive in Kirkland when he was struck from behind by a pickup truck driven by an 18-year old man. The driver of the truck was from Kenmore and had been previously cited for driving 9 miles over in a 25mph zone in 2010.
The family of the late bicyclist has hired an attorney to represent them and the driver has hired a criminal defense attorney.
After a lengthy investigation, the Kirkland police has forwarded their findings to Kirkland Detective Allan O'Neill on Tuesday, who will decide whether charges should be filed.
